Indoor Face Mask Alert!
Gov. Justice issued Executive Order 77-20 on November 14 and it remains in effect. Per the Executive Order, face coverings must be worn at all times in all public indoor places. The order does not apply to children under the age of 9 or anyone who has trouble breathing or otherwise unable to remove the mask without assistance.
Welcome to the Mineral County Tourism website! We strive to promote all sectors of tourism. Our office is new, but we are excited to be growing. The Potomac Highlands region of West Virginia is privileged to be home of beautiful outdoor recreation and a rich history. Mineral County is home to all of these things, plus more!
Our office hours are Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. unless we are out on calls or attending other meetings. Please make sure to call ahead. If you have any questions or would like more information on anything you see here, please feel free to reach out!

Pictured top left: Barnum Whitewater Area of the North Branch of the Potomac River. Barnum offers up to Class 3 whitewater when the dam is released at Jennings Randolph Lake. Barnum is also home to some of the best trout fishing. Hiking and camping are offered as well!
Pictured top right: Jennings Randolph Lake. This manmade lake is the perfect place for boating, kayaking, swimming, hiking, and much more! Take the family and enjoy a weekend at the lake.
Pictured bottom right: Ashby's Fort Museum. This French & Indian Fort is located in Fort Ashby. Come tour the brand new Visitors Center and learn the history of the Fort. Once you're finished, make sure you tour the log building to see what life was like in the 1700's.
