Stewart's Tavern

This hidden gem located in Short Gap, West Virginia, was built in the late 1700's. The building was used as a tavern and an inn for travelers and soldiers.

Built in 1886, this was the former residence of Thomas Carskadon, the youngest member of the West Virginia Constitutional Convention, who later held many political offices.

Mineral County Historical Society Museum

The Historical Society is showcasing everything Mineral County in this new museum. Variety of displays include political items, school memorabilia, musical figures, and more!

Open: Every Saturday (April-October) from 10am-2pm. Or by appointment.
